Every time you see automatic gates at the movies they always seem to
be double opening gates and there is not a gate motor in site. That's
because they are underground! That's right, motors like the ASA2 sit under
the gate completely hidden from view and they work like magic. They are
whisper quite and definitely the rolls royce of automatic swing gate motors.
Using underground motors however requires a bit of planning, correct construction
of your gates and a bit more installation work. The rewards are numerous
not the least being you do not need posts, your gates can be fitted directly
to your brick pier or wall and you do not lose the room normally taken
up by a post. Manufactured in Italy the ASA2 is a 24 volt swing gate electro
mechanical operator complete with a foundation box made from galvansied
steel and designed to be installed under ground. No side room is a major
feature of this operator needing virtually no posts or side room at all.
The operator installs neatly below the gate. The ASA2 is a self locking
operator with key operated manual override. It is suitable for gates to
3.0 metres wide and has built in opening stops. The ASA2 kit comes as
two boxes, the motor itself and the foundation box. The ASA2 uses the
K50 logic controller with built in battery charge board and battery holder.
Simply add batteries (two for 24 volts) and you have emergency power.
